Jesse Leroy McCullar

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery.Jesse Leroy McCullar was born April 4, 1929 in Byars, Oklahoma to Thurman and Myrtle E. (Shaw) McCullar.  He worked at Tinker Air Force Base as a Civil Engineer Technician. He also had worked at Lowe’s, worked in real estate, and as a minister.  He married Mildred (Huddleston), who preceded him in death.  He later married Melba (Ledinski) in 1992.  Jesse served in the United States Navy.  He was a longtime member of Liberty Baptist Church, served on the Tecumseh School Board for over 20 years, was a member of the Elks (where he enjoyed golfing), S.A.R., V.F.W., American Legion, and he was a founder of “Operation Christmas”.   Preceded in death by his parents, his first wife: Mildred, and 9 siblings.   Survived by  Wife: Melba McCullar of the home,                       5 Children: Ladonna Middleton of OKC,                                          Tina Deremer and husband Keith of Earlsboro,                                            Robin Sharp of Shawnee,                                           David Ledinski and wife Terrie of Shawnee,                                           Donna Jenks of Shawnee,                         7 Grandchildren,                         3 Great-Grandchildren,                         1 Sister: Bea Watts and husband Larry of Dale, TX,                    And several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
