Zella Rhea (Montgomery) Jarvis

Zella Jarvis peacefully received her wings May 16, 2023, at the age of 82. Zella was born in Shawnee, OK to Morris Neal and Allie Rae (Martin) Montgomery. Shawnee was her home. Zella graduated with the Shawnee High School Class of 1958. She then went on to work at Tinker Air Force Base. Zella spent twenty plus years as a childcare provider. She then went back to school and received her associate degree in accounting. She later retired as a Data Entry Supervisor.

Zella’s true passion was her kids and grandkids. She just loved being together with family and friends. Zella was known to most as “Mom” or Granny Z. To know her was to love her. She adopted many kids into her heart, and she loved them all as her own.

Zella is preceded in death by her husband Roy, father, mother, brother, three sisters, and her newborn child, Kelly Jo.

Zella is survived by her three children, Rachel Gamble of Shawnee, Ok, Randy Jarvis of McLoud, Ok, and Laura and husband Kenneth Stone of Okemah, Ok. Seven grandchildren, Heath and Laurel Gamble, Ashley Gamble, Tyler Gamble, Skylar and Heather Stone, and Braydon Stone. Nine great-grandchildren, Paisley, Brayden, Brinlee, Connor, Cannyn, Memphis, Mavryk, Dawsyn, and Pyper.

Though the void will never be filled, we find peace in knowing that she is whole again. Thank you for your continued prayers.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, May 18^th at Walker Funeral & Cremation Service from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral ceremony will be held on Friday, May 19^th at the Walker Funeral Chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
