Willliam "Pat" Haggard

 

William "Pat" Haggard passed away on Sunday February 12, 2023. He was 70 years old.

Pat was born on Oct. 29, 1952 in Shawnee, OK. He attended public schools in Shawnee and graduated from Shawnee High School in 1970. He was a computer nerd from a young age and went to a technical college after high school to start his career in the world of computers.

He worked for various companies over his lifetime, which included building his own business, Haggard's Technical Services, Inc., where, among other professional successes, wrote award winning point of sale programs.

He moved to Oregon in 2000 and worked at Clatsop Community College (CCC) as Network Administrator. He retired from CCC in June 2010. He obtained his Bachelors in Communications from Marylhurst University. He was also involved in the local HAM radio in both Oklahoma and Oregon. He retired from CCC in June 2010.

He and his wife, Cheryl, began attending LDS church services in the late 1990s and found solace and community there. They were active in the LDS church over the years, even helping to organize a study and prayer group until his health issues made that impossible. 

Pat is survived by his three children and their families, his older brother, along with numerous other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Wanda Haggard, his wife, Cheryl Haggard, his grandparents, and numerous others.

A memorial will be held on Friday, February 24th at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints: 1501 E. Independence Street, Shawnee, OK 74804, United States.
