William Paul Tefertiller

William “Bill” Paul Tefertiller, 67, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma with his wife, Ann at his side. Bill was born in Independence, Missouri on April 30, 1954 to Robert E. Naughton and Beverly Dean (Mason) Tefertiller.  He was raised in Shawnee, Oklahoma where he played various sports for Shawnee High School.  After high school, Bill enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Darby in Livorno, Italy until 1975. During that time, he began his journey as a family man, working and residing in Norway with his children. In later years, Bill returned to Shawnee and worked as a contractor until his retirement. He spent his time volunteering at the local hospital, playing golf, and attending monthly lunches with his former classmates. On December 1, 2019, he married his beloved wife Ann and enjoyed his final years with her in Bixby, Oklahoma.
 
Bill was a proud member of the Elks. He loved traveling, the beach, football (especially his OU Sooners and KC Chiefs), and making up his own rules for golf.  Bill will be remembered for his big laugh and bigger personality, his sass and entertaining stories, and his generosity, always willing to help anyone in need.  Most importantly, he will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
 
Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Dean Tefertiller, father, Robert E. Naughton, and two sisters, Kimberly Price and Bobbie Naughton.  He is survived by his wife, Ann Tefertiller, of the home; his children, Michael Tefertiller of Flateby, Norway, Jennifer Sanden of Flateby, Norway, Cameron Goad and wife Amy, Tulsa, OK, and Courtney Neal and husband Chris, Glenpool, OK; his grandchildren, Kevin and Adrian Tefertiller, Ariana and Isabel Sanden, Brayden, Logan and Emmett Goad, and Peyton, Noah, Oliver and Hazel Neal; his great-grandson, Gabriel Gonzalez; his sisters, Jimi Smith and husband Gene, Houston, TX, Deborah Wright and husband John, Bethel, OK, and Cindy Smith, Seminole, OK; his life-long best friend, Rick Austin; and numerous other family and friends.


A memorial ceremony for Bill will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Life Church, 5113 N. Harrison, Shawnee, OK.
