Weldon Ray Pendergrass

Weldon Ray Pendergrass, 78, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away on April 24, 2025. Ray was born to Jim and Mary Pendergrass in Nashville, Tennessee in 1947. He graduated from Hazel Green High School in 1965 and went on to attend Lipscomb University. Ray was a Vietnam veteran who proudly served his country in the Air Force from 1967 to 1971.

Ray married Carolyn Logan in 1980 in Huntsville, Alabama. He worked in sales until he retired in 2015 and received numerous awards during his career.

Ray is survived by his wife Carolyn, his sons Patrick (Rhonda), Howard (Sandi), and Kevin (Bethany), his grandchildren Ethan and Haley (Marcus), his great-grandchildren Trent, Easton, and Corbin, his brother Bill, and his nieces Brooke (Bryan) and Olivia. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Mary and his daughter, Kimberly.

Ray loved gardening, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was a big fan of Alabama football and the Atlanta Braves. He was an active member of the Northridge Church of Christ and loved serving others.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30th at 9:00 am with the funeral service following at 10:00 am at the Northridge Church of Christ at 1001 E MacArthur St. in Shawnee, OK with Paul Fletcher officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Red Cross.
