Wanda June Anderson

Wanda June Anderson, 89, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on March 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on June 30, 1936, in McLoud, Oklahoma, to Gus and Irene Hodde.

Wanda devoted her life to her family. As a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker, she found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved. She married Virgil Anderson on November 21, 1953, and together they built a life centered on family and raised six children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Anderson; her parents, Gus Hodde and Irene McCoy; her son, Ron Anderson; her sisters, Jean Heath and LaDonna Ellis; her son-in-law, Butch Stanley; her stepbrother, Floyd McCoy; her grandchild, Nickie Anderson; and her great-grandchild, Tinley Anderson.

Wanda leaves behind a large and loving family who will cherish her memory: her children, Molly (Sissy) Stanley; Keith and Diana Anderson; Larry and Robin Anderson; Gary and Sandra Anderson; and Troy and Rachael Anderson; her daughter-in-law, Gina Anderson; her brother, Robert and Debbie Hodde; 20 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

She will be fondly remembered for her love of birdwatching and people-watching, her many trips to bingo and the casino, and her lively spirit. Wanda was always on the move, full of life, and never afraid to speak her mind. Her strength, humor, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed.

A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Dale Cemetery.
