Sibyle G. Cundiff

Former Shawnee resident Sibyle G. Cundiff, 102, passed away February 21, 2022 in Woodland Park, Colorado. Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Mark Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Blackburn Chapel Cemetery. Sibyle was born January 22, 1920 on a farm near Dale, Oklahoma to John and Geneva Miles. She graduated from Bethel High School and worked retail in Shawnee for many years. She married Harmon E. Shook in 1939. After his death, she married Clarence Cundiff in 1977. Sibyle was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for over 65 years. She loved camping, water skiing, fishing, and traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, a son: Russell Shook, a sister: Edith Crawford, and a brother: Mervel Miles. Survivors include a daughter: Carolyn A. Hodge and husband Steve, grandchildren: Stacey Hodge Vanhoy and Michael S. Hodge, great-granddaughter: Kelsey Hodge, and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends at Immanuel Baptist Church in Shawnee.
