Sheryl G. Loveland

August 27, 1943 — June 2, 2019

Sheryl Loveland, 75, of Shawnee passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 2, 2019.  Sheryl was born in Oklahoma City on August 27, 1943 to Gerald and Wanda (Langley) Hawkins.  She graduated from Starspencer High School in 1961. She then received an Associate’s Degree from Oklahoma State University.  She worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company until 1973, and in the North Rock Creek School Cafeteria from 1981-2008.  Sheryl married Don Loveland in May 1964. She was a member of Highland Church of Christ since 1967.  Sheryl loved to cook for her family and she always cooked more than enough for everyone. If you came to her home, you never left hungry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Loveland; infant son, Curtis Trent Loveland; parents Gerald and Jackie Hawkins, and Gene and Wanda Farnsworth; and brother Rick Hawkins.

She is survived by her son, Travis Loveland and his children, Kory and Kayci Loveland of Shawnee; son, Troy Loveland; daughter, Tracy Loveland of Shawnee and her children, Tiffanie and Takashi Morisawa of Japan, Seth and Holly Kubiak, and Kira Casey, all of Shawnee; granddaughter, Alana Loveland; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Highland Church of Christ in Tecumseh, with Erick Henson officiating. Burial will follow at Garden Grove Cemetery (northeast of Shawnee), under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.
