Shahn David Corter

Shahn David Corter, age 58 of Sherman, Texas died July 24, 2021 in Denison, Texas. Services will be Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the Walker Funeral Service Chapel in Shawnee with Tommy Smith officiating. He was born March 31, 1963 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Paul and Armanda Corter of McLoud, Oklahoma and led an impactful life and was loved by many. He grew up in McLoud attending McLoud Schools and later OSU. As a boy he enjoyed playing basketball, baseball and riding dirt bikes. He fell in love with JaRee Baldwin whom he married on May 6, 1983. They had two sons, David and Andrew. Shahn worked in the commercial roofing industry for many years. He was a hard worker and a faithful Christian. Shahn excelled at managing people, and he touched many lives throughout his career. In his free time he enjoyed gardening and bird watching, and playing games with his children and grandchildren. Shahn's legacy is impossible to put into words. To his wife he was a loving and devoted husband. To his children he was an example and a teacher. To his grandchildren he was fun and loving. To his coworkers he was hardworking, thoughtful and fair. He was always looking to win hearts and minds to Christ. Shahn's passing leaves an empty place in many lives and he will be sorely missed. We were truly blessed to have him as our Dad. He is survived by his Wife: JaRee of the home; 2 Sons: David and wife Amy of Cushing, Oklahoma and their children: Allison, Audrey, Abigail and Avery; Andrew and his wife Kimberly of West Palm Beach, Florida and their children Nathaniel and Simon; Parents: Paul and Armanda Corter of McLoud, Oklahoma; 2 Brothers: Chris Corter of Oklahoma City and Mark and Melanie Corter of Shawnee. Memorials may take the form of contributions to Campsooner.com instead of flowers, in Shahn's memory.
