Sandra Elaine Callaway, age 75, passed away peacefully at home in the early hours of May 16, 2025, just one day shy of her 76th birthday. She was surrounded by all her “girls,” wrapped in love and comfort after fighting a short but courageous battle with a very difficult illness.
Sandra was a deeply devoted mom, grandma, great-grandma, and loyal friend. Her greatest joy in life was her great-granddaughters, whom she absolutely adored and lovingly spoiled in every possible way.
To nearly everyone under the age of 40—family or not—she was simply known as “Grandma.” It was a title she wore proudly, reflecting her open heart and welcoming spirit.
Sandra was famous for her chocolate chip cookies, her warm presence as a neighbor, and the kind of friendship that felt like home. Her cousins often said she felt more like a sister than a cousin—deeply connected, fiercely loyal, and always there.
She had a special love for cardinals, believing they were visits from loved ones who had passed. She loved her roses and never turned down a fun night at the casino.
In her living room, she created a wall filled with photos and names of all her “kids”—a testament to the love that defined her life. She proudly pointed it out to everyone who walked through her door. At the center of it all was a saying that perfectly captured the spirit of her family:
“Family: A little bit of crazy, a little bit of loud, and a whole lot of love.”
Sandra is survived by her son, Stacey Stubbs; her daughter, Trixey Summers; and her grandchildren: Hillary Fry and Adam Rybin, Jaime Seaton and Joseph Roe, and Lucas Fry. She also leaves behind her bonus grands: Matt and Ashlee, Kristina and Zac, and Brian and Christine.
Her cherished great-granddaughters—the loves of her life—Kaydence, Allison, and Josie—brought her endless joy. She also shared her heart with her bonus great-grands: Axton, Ace, Dakota, Donnie, Audrey, and Emberly.
Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Bobby and Violet Randolph.
Her presence, strength, and love will be deeply missed—but her spirit lives on in every laugh, every hug, and every memory. She will never be forgotten.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Walker Funeral & Cremation Service on Wednesday, May 21st from 1-5pm and on Thursday, May 22nd, from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm with family present to greet friends from 5-7pm.
