Ronald Anthony Gillham, Sr.

Shawnee resident Ronald Anthony Gillham, Sr., 84, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021 at a local hospital. Services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Larry Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at Wolf Cemetery. Ron was born February 8, 1937 in Dallas, TX to Edgar Newton Gillham and Helena (Mathis) Gillham. He attended Redondo Beach Union High School where he met Allie Mae Reeves. They married on May 8, 1954. He worked for Sears for over 25 years and later opened and operated Rave Sound and Rave Revue in Shawnee for 25 years. Ron also served his community by being voted in as City Commissioner and active in many civic clubs. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a daughter: April L. Gillham. Survivors include 2 sons: Ronald Gillham and wife Valeta of Tecumseh, Lawrence Edgar Gillham of California, 11 Grandchildren, 17 Great-Grandchildren, 1 brother: Edgar Glen Gillham of Shawnee, and numerous other family members and friends.
