Richard D Norton

Shawnee resident Richard Norton, 73, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019 at his home.  Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 8, 2019 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel.

Richard was born November 4, 1945 in Ada, Oklahoma to Glen Norton and Melba (Northam) Norton.  He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1963.  He worked much of his life at Tinker Air Force Base before retiring.  After retirement, he bought some land and began ranching.  He was a member of the NRA and the Cattleman’s Association.  His enjoyments included snow skiing, hunting, and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include one daughter: Rabecka Norton of Shawnee, one dranddaughter: Dymon Norton of Shawnee, one great-grandson: Braxton Corgill of Shawnee, Companion: Deborah Norton, step-daughter: Amanda Reeb and husband Russell of Eufaula, step grandchildren: Allie Reeb, Brook Ann Jackson and husband Kaleb all of Eufaula, and numerous other relatives and friends.
