Peggy Ann Mariano

Peggy Ann Mariano, 95, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026 in Drumright, Oklahoma. She was born on July 23, 1930, in Muskogee to William and Martha Henry. Peggy made her home in Shawnee from 1950 until 2023, where she built a life centered on faith, family, friendship, and service to others.

Peggy met and married the love of her life, Eddie Mariano, and together they shared many cherished years and created a loving family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt whose kindness and caring spirit touched everyone who knew her.

She found great joy in spending time with her family and friends and treasured every gathering and conversation. Peggy faithfully volunteered through her church community and also worked in admissions at the free clinic, always eager to help those in need. In her spare time, she loved gardening and took pride in caring for her flowers and plants. She was a dedicated member of Blackburn Chapel and remained active in her faith throughout her life.

Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eddie Mariano; her son, Donald Mariano; her brother, Wallace Henry; her grandson, Jerrid Bolt; and her great-grandchild, Carter Dean Mariano.

She is survived by her son, Michael Mariano and wife Angela; grandchildren, Christopher Mariano, Gina Mariano-Pope, Russell Mariano and wife Elizabeth, and Taylor Mariano-Hill and husband Dakota; and great-grandchildren, Everly and Gentry Hill, Jerrett, Nora, Reid, Beau and Brandt Pope, and Addison and Jacob Mariano.

Peggy’s gentle heart, unwavering faith, and love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 2:00PM at Walker Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
