Nathaniel Coleman was born on November 22, 1946, in Proctor, Arkansas, to Lonnie Cannon.

Nathaniel graduated from West Memphis High School in 1965. He was a running back for the football team. He went on to play semi-pro baseball, and he worked maintenance on 18-wheeler tractor trailers.

Nathaniel enjoyed fishing and watching old western movies. He always loved a good barbecue and spending time with family and friends.

Nathaniel made his journey home on Sunday, May 25, 2025. He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Dominic Seymore of Atlanta, Georgia; Chad Williams of West Memphis, Arkansas; and Zarron Hoard of Seattle, Washington, and one daughter, DeKara Morris of Marion, Arkansas. He leaves behind a brother Samuel Cannon from West Memphis, Arkansas, eleven grandchildren, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and good friends.

Preceding him in death are his mother, Lonnie Cannon; sisters, Liza Brunson, Lonnie Brunson, and Laura Strickland; and brother, Hulbert Levi Coleman.

A memorial service will be held Friday, June 6, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Walker Funeral Chapel.
