Myrtle (Dickenson) Hood

Myrtle (Dickenson) Hood, 87, passed away on December 10, 2019.  

She was born May 23, 1932 in Johnson Community to Lonnie and Alma Dickenson.  Myrtle was one of ten children that was raised in the Johnson area.  She worked as a cook most of her life, first starting at Biscuit Hill Café.  She spent many years at the Pottawatomie County Sherriff’s Department where she enjoyed preparing the inmates a good meal.  Myrtle later worked and retired from Homeland’s bakery department.  She loved gardening and raising cattle.  Myrtle loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, and all nine of her siblings.

Myrtle is survived by many nieces and nephews.
