Miyoko Strong

Miyoko Strong, resident of Shawnee, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025. She was 92 years old. Miyoko was born on April 6, 1933 in Gauji, Japan. She married Robert Lee Strong in Tokyo, Japan on November 4, 1952.

Miyoko was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She loved caring for children and volunteered much of her time at the Bus Ministry and Preschool and Children’s Ministry. She enjoyed spending time with friends making handmade crafts. Miyoko was also a black belt in martial arts and enjoyed bowling for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kishi Kashima and Sei Kashima and husband, Robert Lee Strong.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Walker Funeral & Cremation Service on Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm. A graveside ceremony will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 10:00 am at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee, OK with Scott Schooler officiating.
