Matthew Lee Schock

On October 2, 2025, the world lost a devoted son, brother, stepfather, and grandfather when Matthew Lee Schock, 55, passed away in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Matthew was born in Elgin, Illinois, to Martin and Donna Schock. From the start, he had a competitive spirit, and a big heart that made him impossible not to love. He built a career as a successful sales engineer and consultant, but his greatest pride and joy was always his family.

He shared many years with his late wife, Kelli Conaway Schock, building a blended family that became his everything. He cared deeply for his stepchildren, Kory (Alexis) Conaway, Kristen (Colby) Lindsey, and Karsen (Bailee) Conaway, and his eyes always lit up when talking about his grandchildren—Lynleigh, Lylah, and Miles. To them, he wasn’t just “step” or “grand”—he was simply their Poppy, a loving presence in their lives.

He was also a devoted son to Donna Schock (Scatena) and a loyal brother to Jason (Soyeon) Schock. Even through life’s challenges, Matthew never lost his love of sports, his ability to laugh, and his unwavering devotion to the people he loved most.

Matthew’s legacy is one of love, loyalty, and family devotion. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A memorial service to celebrate Matthew’s life will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 10:00 am at the Walker Funeral Chapel, 201 E 45th St, Shawnee, OK 74804.
