Mary Margaret Brock

Shawnee resident Mary Brock, 85, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023 in Shawnee.

Memorial services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 22, 2023 at Walker Funeral Chapel followed by inurnment at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Ponca City at 2:30 P.M. 

Mary was born August 11, 1938 in Ponca City, OK to Morris Lee Oney and Mary Ruth (Wright) Oney.  She worked many years as a proof reader and in advertising for the Ponca City News before retiring.  Mary was a hospice volunteer, member of Community Christian Church, and enjoyed crossword puzzles and music.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother: Dick, sisters: Nancy and Phyllis Sue, and sons: Larry and Johnny.

Survivors include her daughter: Sherry Brock of Shawnee, sister: Kay Cassell, 3 grandchildren: Jennifer, Jeff, and Jeremy, 4 great grandchildren, her dear friend PJ and several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
