Martha Jewel Gallaher, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025, in Fredericksburg, Texas, at the age of 100. Born on August 8, 1925, in Fort Worth, Texas, she was the daughter of Wiley Monroe Hester and Letha Moore Austin. Martha lived a life filled with kindness, warmth, and a deep love for her family.

A proud graduate of Polytechnic High School in Fort Worth, Martha dedicated her career to serving others as a lab technician. Her professional contributions were marked by her diligent work ethic and her compassionate nature, reflecting the generous spirit she carried into every aspect of her life.

Martha was particularly proud of her children and cherished her role as a mother, often expressing her love and admiration for her son, Don D. Kaiser, and the joy she found in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She leaves behind her loving son, Don D. Kaiser and his wife Linda; grandchildren Erin Christine Kaiser Foster and Donald George Hughes; and great-grandchildren Watt David Foster, Katherine Jewel Foster, Jacob Landon Foster, Garret George Hughes, and Taylor Christene Hughes.

Throughout her life, Martha embraced the beauty of the world, enjoying memorable vacations to the South Pacific, China, and Mexico. Her artistic spirit also shone brightly in her passion for singing, particularly with her church choir, where her loving voice brought joy to many.

Martha was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Orlando Kaiser, her second husband, Paul C. Gallaher, her beloved daughter Mary Lee Kaiser Hughes, her father Wiley Monroe Hester, her mother Letha Moore Austin, and her siblings Wiley Newman Hester, Mary Helen Hester Somage, and Minnie Lee Hester Taylor.

With a legacy filled with love and affection, Martha Jewel Gallaher will be greatly missed by all who knew her, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Martha's family would like to give special thanks to Otis and Paula Compton and their family for their assistance during this difficult time.
