Lynda M Lupton

Lynda Mae Lupton of Shawnee passed away at the age of 75 in her home on March 5, 2021, while surrounded by family and loved ones. Lynda was born August 17, 1945 to Oather and Ethel (France) Price. Lynda graduated from Meeker High School in 1963. She then attended the Oklahoma School of Banking and graduated in 1964. Lynda married Charles “Chuck” Lupton on February 5, 1966 in Sulphur, Oklahoma. She then worked many dedicated years at Wolverine Tubing before retiring. Lynda was a woman of great character who loved life. She had a compassion for the sick and was a caregiver to her mother and several relatives. She was a very hard worker. Her heart was with family, but her pride was in her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lynda was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved her dog, Wanette, who she rescued from the Wanette Cemetery. Lynda took great pride in mowing her lawn and had an endless love for flower gardening. Many people would drive by just to look at her beautiful yard. Those who knew Lynda know for a fact that she is in Heaven mowing right now. Lynda was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Lupton, her parents, Oather and Ethel Price, two brothers, Merle and Chester Price, and one sister, Ruth Crews. Lynda is survived by her two sons, Roy Lupton of Shawnee, Charles “Charlie” Lupton of Shawnee. Six grandchildren, Ashley Sloan Tilley and husband Bobby Tilley of Seminole, Zachary Lupton and fiancé Naomi of Seminole, Cade Daley of Seminole, Hunter Needham of Oklahoma City, Sydney Ketchum and husband Casey Ketchum of Shawnee, and Devin Lupton of Shawnee. Lynda is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, Maebri and Madison Tilley, Maya Alexander, Hagen & Moira Lupton, and Kaylee & Kennedy Hurst. Two brothers, Johnny Price and wife Charlotte of Shawnee, and Coy Price and wife Shannon of Shawnee. Four sisters, Carolyn Wells of Oklahoma City, Shirley Doyle of Shawnee, Betty Driskill and husband Gene of Tecumseh, and Janice Tyler of Shawnee. Lynda leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 10th at Walker Funeral Chapel in Shawnee with Larry Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery in Meeker. Pallbearers are Devin Lupton, Hunter Needham, Zachary Lupton, Bobby Tilley, Casey Ketchum, and Dylan Harris. Honorary pallbearers are Cade Daley, Roy Lupton, Charlie Lupton, Ronald Crews and Coy Price.
