Lillie Jenelle Cox

May 30, 1932 — August 7, 2022

Jenelle Cox, age 90 of Dale, passed peacefully into her eternal life in Heaven on Sunday, August 7, 2022. Graveside Services will be Friday, August 12, 2022 11:00 A.M. at Dale Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Jenelle was the fourth born child of W.A. (Bill) and Bertha (Greene) Swanda in Carnegie, Oklahoma. She was born on May 30, 1932. Jenelle loved the Lord. She was first and foremost a dedicated mother and grandmother. She was always ready to follow her kids and grandkids to all their activities. She worked tireless hours helping raise peanuts, wheat and cattle. She also worked many years at Campus Drug Store in Shawnee. She was a wonderful cook as well. All of us who knew her well, knew her big passion was watching Bison Baseball. She loved cheering them on and taking them snacks a long as she could. In the last few years, she learned to cheer them on watching them on her iPad. Jenelle was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, after 66 years of marriage; her parents, Bill and Bertha; her brother, Billy; sisters, Eugene and Deena; brothers and sisters in law, Raymond and Develya Cox and Ronald and Thelma Cox; her aunt, Lillie and nephew, Randy. She is survived by two sons and their wives, Bobby and Lyn and Wesley and Connie, all of Shawnee, four grandsons, Bobby D. of Charlotte, North Carolina; Chris and Danielle of Shawnee; Cody and wife Kolby of Ada and Casey of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family has designated Oklahoma Baptist University Baseball, 500 W. University, Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804, which was her favorite pastime, as an appropriate donation.
