The Apache area is where he was raised, graduating from high school there. Following high school, Leo joined the U.S. Air Force, starting a 20 year career with the branch. As a faithful patriot and father, Leo especially enjoyed the time he was able to spend with his beloved wife, children and grandchildren. Additionally, he was a strong man of faith. Hope Church in Shawnee has been his cherished church home for nearly the past decade. As well, Leo was handy in the wood shop. His creations in furniture are still enjoyed by his family.
