Kelley Kevin Reed

March 18, 1963 — July 14, 2022

On Earth March 18, 1963 - In Heaven July 14, 2022 Kelley Kevin Reed went to be with his Lord and many loved ones on July 14, 2022. Kevin was born on March 18, 1963 to Edgar Bryant Reed and Dixie Mae (Kelley) Reed in Amarillo, Texas. Kevin had a heart as big as the state he was born in and he also fully embodied the generosity and friendly spirit of his adopted state of Oklahoma. His life was an adventure from birth. Kevin loved his country, his God and his family. He loved people and people loved him. Kevin traveled all over the USA and too many countries to count, doing extensive business in Asia and Europe. He was a self-made success story. He was a Patriot in every sense of the word. His travels only confirmed his knowledge that he was blessed to live in the greatest country the world has ever known. Kevin spent over 40 years in the welding and welding supplies industry and was a Life Member of the American Welding Society (AWS). He was respected as a teacher, and salesman, but most of all as a friend. Kevin is survived by his mother, Dixie Mae Kelley Reed of Shawnee Oklahoma; his brother Victor (Debbie) of Killeen, Texas and his children, Trey (Tawnya and sons Colby and Caleb) and Jennifer (Tony and daughters Jaden (Xavier), Brianna and Emily), his brother Vincent of Thompson’s Station, Tennessee and his children Sarah and Ben. He is missed by his four daughters and one son - Diane, Stephanie (Jeremy), Christine (Justin), Regan and Ryan. He will also be missed by his ten grandchildren – Alicia, Braydyn, David, Hunter, Jason, Karmyn, Katelyn, Mandy, Madasyn and Samantha – and great grandchild Karsyn. He is also survived by his Aunt Priscilla (Michael), Uncle Robert, Aunt Virginia (Ed) and a host of cousins and friends. He is also survived by his step-mother Patricia Reed. And cousins Cindy Anderson of Shawnee and her daughter Regina Walker of Tecumseh. He was greeted in Heaven by his Dad, who was also his alter ego and business partner. The welcome party also included his paternal grandparents Victor “Bill” and Cyntha “Dutch” Reed and their children, his aunts and uncles – Alta Mae, Jack, James, Billy, Clarice, Wanda, Shirley; his maternal grandparents Lester “Bub” and Lena Kelley and their children, his aunts and uncles – Ronald, Bill, James and Gloria - plus his niece Haleigh and cousin James. Kevin requested to be cremated, with half his remains to be laid to rest with his father in Maud, Oklahoma and half in the Kelley family section at Romulus Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at Tecumseh Assembly of God on Thursday, July 21 at 10:00am, with a reception to follow. Pastor James Bailey of the Little Church of the Prairie will be presiding. Memorials may be presented in his name to the Little Church on the Prairie, 105329 South 3490 Road, Meeker OK 47864.
