Kelby Earl Strickland

Kelby Earl Strickland, Jr. age 78 of Hoover passed away May 14, 2021. Kelby was born December 15, 1942, in Eufaula, AL to Kelby Earl and Helen Griffin Strickland. Kelby was a graduate of the University of Alabama and the Birmingham School of Law, after 40 years of Law practice, he retired and enjoyed family activities, travel and golf. Kelby served in the U.S. Army for 4 years and was a member of the Bar Association, Alabama State Bar Association and Asbury United Methodist Church. Kelby is survived by his wife of 37 years Marty Roesch Strickland, his daughters: Kelly Borden (Steven), Granddaughter Delphia; Dr. Kathleen Krach (Josh), Granddaughter Svea; Christy Roddy (Paul), Granddaughters Charlotte and Claire; his son: Rick Wedell, Granddaughters Samantha, Emily and Mackenzie; sisters: Mavis Chance, Georgianne Saxion (Bill), Arleen Cook (Buddy); brothers: Eddie Wayne Strickland (Pat), Tom Strickland (Lyuduyla); and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 21, at Fairview Cemetery.
