Justin Lee Gaines

Justin Lee Gaines, 47, of Shawnee, OK, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018 near Bethel Acres. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Liberty Baptist Church with Phil Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Walker Funeral Service. Justin was born July 19, 1970 in Paris, Illinois and adopted by Jack & Miriam Gaines, and recently reconnected with his birth mother, Linda Fann. He was a 1989 graduate of Prague High School.On April 19, 1992 he married Loretta Haley. He enjoyed landscaping jobs, ride-sharing, and also worked as a prison guard. Justin was previously vice president of Neighborhood Watch, delivered newspapers and mowed lawns for anyone he could. He loved fishing and animals. He was extremely kind and helpful. He met his wife Loretta in October 1991 when Loretta, her brother, and Grandmother had car trouble on the corner of Federal and Harrison. He continued loving and taking care of her for 26 years. Last year he was able to find his birth mother and reconnect with her and his sister. His daughter, Daidra was his best achievement and his close friend.
