Judy Ann Parsons

Judy Ann Parsons, life-time resident of Shawnee, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026. She was 81 years old.

Judy was born on July 3, 1944 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She graduated from Tecumseh High School and attended college at St. Gregory’s. She met Carroll Eugene “Gene” Parsons when she was in grade school. The pair finished school together and were married on July 17, 1965. Judy loved to cook and bake. She made excellent cakes for birthdays and weddings. She also loved to sew and was very crafty. Judy was an avid shopper and never met a knick-knack she didn’t like. Judy and Gene attended New Hope Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, R. T. Franklin Burton and Geneva Mary Burton.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Gene Parsons, sons, Shawn Keith Parsons and wife Brandi and Brian Scott Parsons and wife Amber, grandchildren, Michael Scott Parsons, Caden Oliver Parsons, Brooke Stout, and Brittni Whittington, great-grandchildren, Luna Richardson and Warren Stout, half-brother, Raymond Gene Burton, and numerous cousins and extended family.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Walker Funeral & Cremation Service on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm with family present to greet friends from 5-7pm. A funeral ceremony for Judy will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the Walker Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be: Brian Parsons, Shawn Parsons, Michael Parsons, Caden Parsons, Zachary Dellitt, and Scott Stewart.
