Juanita Walker

Juanita Walker, 82, of Shawnee, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at her home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 5, 2018 at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee. Juanita was born October 20, 1935 in Asher, Oklahoma to Willard and Dorthy (Gregg) Dobbs. She married Leonard Walker on May 29, 1956, they enjoyed 62 years of marriage prior to his death earlier this year. Juanita loved children and worked as a teacher for two year olds at Liberty Academy for over 20 years. She also loved her dogs, but nothing was more important to Juanita than her time she was able to spend with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, four sisters and one grandson.She is survived by her one and only daughter, Terry Lynn (Walker) Pitts and her husband CharlesThree grandsons and spouses: Jordan & Katie Pitts, Cameron Pitts, and Christian Pitts & his fiancé Amber Couvillier2 great grandchildren: Ayden Talmadge Pitts and Korah Faith PittsA brother, Leroy DobbsA great number of nieces and nephewsAnd many other wonderful friends.
