John Wesley Clark, Jr., resident of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022. He was 78 years old. John was born in Yuma, Arizona to his parents, John Wesley Clark, Sr. and Nellie Jane Bowers. John attended Kofa High School in Arizona before moving to California. He married Phyllis McIntyre in California on March 4, 1967. The couple moved back to Oklahoma where John worked at his drywall business, Clark Drywall. John loved to fish especially with his brother, James. He enjoyed racing motorcycles, riding his tractor, tinkering with his lawnmowers, and camping with the “Golf Cart Gang.” John was a loving, kindhearted man who always had a smile on his face—except when you held up a camera to take a photo! He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. John was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jack Clark, Kenneth Clark, James Clark, and David Clark. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Clark of Shawnee, daughters, Denene Bradley and husband Ken of Mansfield, TX, Kristi Ama of Piedmont, Oklahoma, and Marci Crawford and husband Robert of Meeker, grandchildren, Amber Bradley, Logan Ama, Johnathan Benham, and Jamie McCallister, greatgrandchildren, Jacob, Kaydence, Xavier, and Josephine, nieces, Tammy Clark and Cindy Tyler and nephew, Paul Clark. A memorial ceremony will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Piedmont Nazarene Church.
