Jimmie Carol Tiger, a kind and loving woman known for her dedication to family, community, and tradition, passed away on April 9, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born on March 18, 1962, in Oklahoma City, Jimmie lived a life rich with purpose and service.

Jimmie was a proud member of the Sac and Fox Nation, and she also honored her Seminole and Creek heritage. Her commitment to her roots was a significant part of who she was throughout her life. She dedicated many years working in the Housing Authority department for both the Sac and Fox Nation and the Citizen of Potawatomi Nation, contributing to the well-being and improvement of her community.

Her educational journey was marked by determination and achievement. Jimmie graduated from Fort Yates High School in Fort Yates, North Dakota, and earned associate degrees from both Sitting Bull College in Fort Yates and United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck, North Dakota. She furthered her education with a bachelor's degree in Family Development and Social Work from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

A dedicated member of Temple Baptist Church in Shawnee, Oklahoma, since 1995, Jimmie found strength and fellowship within her church family. She enjoyed the traditional craft of beading, along with reading, camping, fishing, shopping, and Saturday morning garage sale activities that brought her joy and relaxation.

Jimmie is survived by her loving husband, Mikel Dover; her daughters Chasidy (married to Christopher Travis) and Caryington, the latter with Avery Ferguson; her sons Chebon Tiger and Sebastian Mason; her sisters Channa (married to Edgar Butler) and Robin Tiger; her brothers Tony (married to Brenda Tiger) and Charlie Tiger (married to Abby); as well as her grandchildren Josiah Tiger and Aurora Tiger.

She was preceded in death by her father William Alexander Tiger, her mother Wanda Sue (Wood) Tiger, her son Micco Tiger, and her siblings Jacob Tiger, Mark Tiger, Boyd Tiger, George Tiger, and Leona Tiger.

Jimmie Carol Tiger will be remembered for her warmth and kindness, her service to her community, and the deep love she held for her family and heritage. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
