Jerry Luther Ashley, age 86, of Mcloud, Oklahoma passed away October 29, 2025 at his home. Jerry was born on February 2, 1939 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Luther and Doris (Critchfield) Ashley. He was raised in the Stratford, Oklahoma area, graduating from high school there in 1957. After graduation, he married the love of his life Georgia Gail Gandy on April 19, 1958, celebrating 51 years before her passing in 2009. Their marriage was blessed with three children Cindy, Ricky, and Marty. Jerry was a man's man. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. As he drew near retirement, Jerry took up exotic animal raising. The emus, ostriches, guinea pigs and other assorted animals gave him much joy and many scratches. He loved seeing his grandchildren and spending time with family. Additionally, he was a long time member of Mcloud Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son Marty Ashley and wife Fay of Mcloud brother Jimmy Ashley and wife Donna Kay of Stratford, OK, grandchildren: Jerry Raymond Birkes and wife Tiffany of Moore. Jeremy Birkes and wife Kristy of Meeker. Kristie Greb and husband Daniel of Del City. Jeremy Hunter of Prague. Aaron Ashley of Meeker. Amanda Ashley of Crump, TN. and Robyn Ashley of Tecumseh. great grandchildren: Addison Birkes, Ronan Birkes, Charlie Greb, Max Greb, Violet Greb, Gage Hunter, Dustin Hunter, Hadley Johnson, Derek McCathern, Iziah Ashley, Sereniti Ashley, Learsi Ashley, and Aria Stafford.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Georgia, daughter Cindy Smith, son Ricky Ashley, grandson Adam Ashley as well as his siblings Billy Bob Ashley and Jackie Lou Long.
Friends and loved ones may pay their respects at Walker Funeral & Cremation Service on Monday November 3rd, from 12 p.m.-5p.m. and Tuesday, Nov. 4 from 8am-7pm with the family present to receive friends from 5-6pm. A graveside ceremony to celebrate Jerry's life will be held at 2pm Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025 at the Memorial Park Cemetery, 12481 OK-19 <https://www.google.com/maps/search/12481 OK-19?entry=gmail&source=g>, Ada, 74820 with Rev. Larry Sparks officiating.
