Jane Bennett

Jane Bennett, resident of Newalla, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023. She was 94 years old.

A graveside ceremony will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the gazebo at Fairview Cemetery.

Jane was born in Kyong Pukto, Republic of Korea to her parents, Keon Ho Lee and Bong Suk (Son) Lee. She married Richard Wayne Bennett in Seoul, Korea on July 19, 1962. She was a homemaker and mother to five sons and three daughters. She made sure everyone was well-fed and enjoyed cooking, baking strawberry shortcakes, and canning corn, green beans, and tomatoes. As a mother, Jane ensured all of her children made it through school and she enjoyed watching home movies of her family. When not looking after her family, Jane enjoyed boating at the pond and watching Johnny Carson and I Love Lucy.

Jane is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Wayne Bennett, sister, June Hee Lee, and daughter, Carol Ann Bennett.

Survivors include her sons, Billy Bennett, Carl Bennett, Daniel Bennett, John Bennett and wife Selma and their four children, and Dale Bennett and daughters, Irene Lysek and Mary Lou Aguilar.

Jane will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
