James "Tugboat" Kelley

Shawnee resident James Theodore “Tugboat” Kelley, 74, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019 at his home.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel.

He was born May 9, 1945 in Romulus, Oklahoma to Lester “Bub” Kelley and Lena Mae (Satterfield) Kelley.  He attended Macomb schools.  He worked as a self-employed carpenter and had worked all over the United States.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool, but most of all spending time with his granddaughter he called “Rosebud”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Ronald and Billy, one sister: Gloria, and a nephew: James West.

Survivors include one son: Michael Kelley and wife Rachelle of Shawnee, one granddaughter: Kaylee Kelley of Shawnee, two sisters: Dixie Kelley Reed of Shawnee, Virginia Kelley Ernst and husband Ed of Macomb, ex-wife: Patricia Kelley of Shawnee, and several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
