George Raymond Unterkircher

OKC resident George R. Unterkircher, 86, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018 in Norman, Oklahoma.Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Prague Cemetery with Mike Collyer officiating. Services are under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.George was born March 16, 1932 in Hallettsville, Texas to John and Maude Unterkircher. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. On July 10, 1963 he married Marion Judith “Judi” (Gilbert). George retired from Tinker Airforce Base as an aircraft mechanic. He later started as tree cutting business in Shawnee. He was a member of the V.F.W. George enjoyed his cats, working cattle, going to church and was strong in his Christian faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a sister: Joyce Brown, and a great-grandson: Lane Topping.Survivors include 2 Children: Roxanne Sterling and husband Ron of OKC,Darren Unterkircher of Shawnee,6 Grandchildren: Charlie Moore and wife Melissa,Their children Maya and Callie,Brittny Smith and husband Cameron,Their children McKenna, Bennett, Arden, Emery,Chevlyn Topping and husband DustyTheir children Stetson, Paisley, Colt,Ryan Unterkircher,Cynthia Unterkircher,Randy Unterkircher,And several other family members and friends.
