Gary Lee "Dub" Campbell

Seminole resident Gary Lee “Dub” Campbell, 81, passed away Monday, April 18, 2022 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Memorial services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel. His cremains will be placed at Ft. Sill Nation Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 28, 2022. Dub was born September 6, 1940 in Oil Center, Oklahoma to Lee Campbell and Oretta (Graham) Campbell. After completing high school, he enlisted in the United States Army. During his time in the military he served 2 tours in Vietnam as a paratrooper and pathfinder. He married Nelda (Redden) and began working as a miner and firefighter before becoming disabled to work. He enjoyed going to flee markets, garage sales, crossword puzzles, and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nelda Campbell, a daughter: Oretta Campbell, 2 brothers, and 1 sister. Survivors include his 3 children: Tammy Wheeler and husband William of Shawnee, Michelle Sifford and husband James Orr of Texas, Johnny Campbell of Lexington, 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, and numerous other family members and friends.
