Franklyn Tracy Green

Franklyn Tracy Green, affectionately known as Tracy, entered eternal rest on July 2, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on August 14, 1956, in Sumter, South Carolina, Tracy was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, whose life was marked by a deep commitment to his family and a passion for helping others.

He began his life journey in South Carolina but later relocated with his family to Oklahoma, where he would spend the majority of his life. Tracy attended Bethel High School, where he began to develop the skills that would become his lifelong career in carpentry and remodeling. He demonstrated not only skillful craftsmanship but also an unwavering dedication to his work and those he served. His personality was as vibrant as his work; he was known for speaking his mind and his jovial nature, often bringing laughter to gatherings of family and friends.

In 1975, Tracy met the love of his life at church, a relationship that blossomed into a beautiful marriage with his beloved wife, Norma Green, in 1977. Together, they built a loving home filled with laughter and joy, a testament to Tracy’s commitment to family. He took immense pride in his family, often mentioning that his proudest accomplishments were his wife, two children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He cherished moments spent fishing and camping, with his loved ones often by his side. Family was at the heart of everything he did.

Despite facing lifelong health battles, Tracy carried the weight of these struggles with grace and strength, earning him the respect and admiration of all who knew him. He served in the U.S. Army, a testament to his sense of duty and commitment to his country.

Tracy is survived by his loving family: his wife Norma, children Amber and Robert, grandchildren Kaitlan, Jonathan, Zander, and Connor, and great-grandchildren Kinslee, Riley, Nova, Nolan, Paisley, and another on the way. He is also survived by his mother Frances, sister Brenda and husband Jack, brother Allen, brother Gordon and wife Stephny, nieces and nephews Candy, Mitchell, Stephanie, BJ, Misty, Bo, Debra, Joseph, Elizabeth, Billie Jean, Honey, and Akadian and numerous great-nieces and nephews, and families.

Preceding him in death were his beloved daughter Mary Ann, father John Green Sr., brother John Green Jr., niece Ashley Green, sister-in-law Kathy Green, daughter-in-law Cindy Green, father-in-law Bill Gibson, mother-in-law Betty Gibson, and niece Emily.
