Edna Alene Melton

Meeker resident Edna Alene Melton passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 in Shawnee.Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Ann Gaines Ali officiating.  Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery, Meeker. Edna was born February 22, 1937 in Hanna, OK to Homer and Ida (Vandeveer) Woodruff.  She was a homemaker and worked in home care. She loved to hold babies and play with them, play games, plant and work in the flower garden.  She enjoyed reading books about her Lord & Savior, going to church and hearing the Bible preached.  She loved going on trips to Branson, MO and Eureka Springs, ARShe was preceded in death by a son, Tony Moore, her parents, and siblings, Roger and NormaEdna is survived by her daughters, Brenda Anderson and fiancé Jimmy Bordwine, Donna & Rick Brice, and Darla & Roy Sellers.
