Dwyn Kathryn Zaharis

Dwyn Kathryn Zaharis, 59, of Shawnee, passed away at home with her family on Tuesday, August 5th, 2025.

Dwyn was born on December 18th, 1965, in Havre de Grace, Maryland to Dr. John Zaharis and Tula Lenoir Zaharis. She loved taking care of animals and spending time in nature. Dwyn enjoyed finding new trails to explore with her dogs, cherished every sunrise and sunset, and walked through the grass barefoot every chance she got.

Her memory lives on with her husband, Ken Stafford II; her son, Dylan Stafford, his fiancée, Hailey Ellis, and their children, Kason and Karter Stafford; her son, Lukas Stafford; her stepson, Ken Stafford III, his wife, Marlene, and their sons, Kenneth IV and Dawson Stafford (arriving in August); and her stepdaughter, Lauren Kelly, and her sons, Jack and Reed Kelly. Her grandchildren called her Yia Yia and loved playing with her. Dwyn will also be lovingly remembered by her sisters: Dawn and her husband, Rick; Drue and her husband, Shannon; her sister-in-law Debbie; and her brothers: John and his wife, Margie; Nathan and his wife, Nancy; Joel; Matthew and his wife, Jill; Jason and his wife, Amanda; and 28 nieces and nephews.Dwyn is reunited with her loving parents and her brother, David Zaharis.

Viewing will be available Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 8:00 am-7:00 pm at Walker Funeral Service. A private graveside will be held for family.
