David Wayne Dickens

David Wayne Dickens, 61, of Shawnee, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018 in a local hospital. Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 29 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Dr. Todd Fisher officiating. Visit www.ibcshawneee.org for livestreaming of the service. David was born June 13, 1957 in Watonga, Oklahoma to Lawrence & Daisy (Rainey) Dickens. He attended Moore Schools, Seminole Jr. College, Rose State, and Southern Nazarene University. David served in the United States Coast Guard. On June 28, 1975 he married Pamela Been in Moore, OK. He worked as a trainer for OG&E, and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and the Gideons. He had lived in Shawnee for 36 years. David was preceded in death by his father and his older brother, Richard.
