Corene Douglas White, 94, died Saturday, June 30, 2018, with her family by her side in Shawnee, OK.Mrs. White was born March 12, 1924 in Konawa, Oklahoma, to Willie and Mary (Pilot) Douglas.She worked many years in the nursing field as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a member of High Springs Baptist Church in Konawa.She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Arthur White, her son, Paul Arthur White, Jr., and her siblings Emma Foster, Susie Factor, Bertha Sherwood, Lillibe Harjo, Obegin Douglas, Andrew Douglas and Roger Wood.She is survived by her brother, Booket Douglas of Seminole, her niece, LaVerne Douglas of the home, and several nephews and nieces.Services for Corene will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 6 at Walker Funeral Chapel with Dan Factor officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.
