At age 18, Claudia married Robert Lee Jones and had first son, Robert Lee Jones Jr, on January 12, 1969. After her first marriage ended, Claudia met Hasan Karriem, moved to Seattle WA in the early 70’s. Claudia and Hasan had their daughter, Pasha Novene Karriem, on July 23, 1973. In the late 70’s Claudia met Isiah Goldsby whom she met while working at Seafirst Bank. Claudia and Isiah had their son, Isiah KC Goldsby, on October 1, 1980. Claudia and Isiah were married in 1986. She was a phenomenal mother.

Claudia worked in the banking industry for her entire career in Washington State. She worked at various financial institutions, but majority of her career was at Washington Mutual Savings Bank. She went from being a teller to a loan officer until she left Washington state in 1994. She also would not hesitate to work an extra job or two during the holiday season. Claudia left many friends, colleagues, and family in Washington state.

In 1994, Claudia relocated to the state of Oklahoma and finally to Shawnee Oklahoma. Claudia worked at Braum’s, a local loan office, Walmart, and in her final days at a law firm providing secretarial duties just to get her out of the house a few hours a week.

Shortly after settling in Shawnee, Oklahoma, Claudia, and Isiah were divorced. A village was born! Bobbi and Max, who were the first people to rent a home to her but she eventually purchased the home from them to Ms. Marie and Ms. Oletta at Walmart, Lori Osborn from the loan company, newfound daughters Kawanna, Shay, and Stephanie and their families, Alex and Ms. Olivia, Ms. Sheena, James and Cheryl, Adam and JP, and a plethora of other friends who were more like family in this new chapter of her life.

Claudia loved to cook, entertain, listen to music, take photos, be a mother, she was a “grandma” to many before having her very own grandson Royal in 2016. Claudia and Royal had a special bond like no other. She was proud to be his Nene. They spoke every morning discussing the weather and what ever always ending with an “I love you.” Becoming a grandmother was truly her greatest achievement! Claudia would give you the biggest hugs and the realest words. In other words, if you did not want the truth, you should not ask her opinion.

In 2023 Claudia was reunited with an old friend Robert Williams who was her companion until her final days. Robert and Claudia had a connection due to their love for life, family, love, and laughter.

Claudia is survived by her sister, Mary Wheeler, Sons Robert Lee Jones Jr. and Isiah KC Goldsby, daughter Pasha Karriem, grandson Royal Dwayne Spencer, Cousin Deborah, Neice Melissa, and doggy son Michael Anthony. She is preceded in death by parents Claude Johnson and Gloria Clinton, Brothers Claude, Louis, and Sandy, Sister Ruby, Nephews Lamont, and Theodore.
