Christopher James McCulloch passed from this life on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Chris was born on February 8, 1943, Morristown, New Jersey to Christopher James McCulloch, Sr. and Kathleen Elizabeth McCulloch.
Chris attended several elementary and high schools throughout the country and graduated from St. Gregory’s Jr. College in Shawnee, Oklahoma, where he played football, ran track and was on the swimming team. From there he attended Arizona State University and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Soon after graduation he entered the United States Air Force and served honorably retiring as Major with Second Lieutenant Reserve. Captain McCulloch received the Meritorious Service Medal for Outstanding Service. Major McCulloch received the Meritorious Service Medal for Outstanding Service, First Oak Leaf Cluster.
After his service, he worked for Ford Motor Company in Oklahoma City as well as TRW in Midwest City. He then went to work at Tinker Air Force Base as an Electrical Engineer moving up to Sr. Systems Analyst Engineer on the E3 AWACS. He retired after 22 years in 2014. He enjoyed traveling all over the world while working at Tinker.
Chris loved road trips, was an avid history buff, and an OU Football Fan always holding his lucky football signed by OU quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner, Jason White. He was also a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Christopher and Kathleen McCulloch.
Chris will be deeply missed by his wife of 30 years, Starla Jean Randol-McCulloch of the home, stepdaughter, Shai Jylen Randol-Campbell and her daughters, Brooklynn Cyera Ashley and Katlynn Shyan Haswell of Shawnee, OK. Chris is also survived by his daughters, Monica McCulloch, Vicki McCulloch and husband Raul Coronado and their two children, Kathleen McCulloch Louque and her two children. Survivors also include his brother, Michael Beresh of Boca Raton, Florida, his son, Michael of Deerfield Beach, Florida, his daughters, Erica of Lake Forrest, Florida and Carrie of Boca Raton, Florida.
Chris will be laid to rest with military honors at a graveside ceremony at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Prague Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearer will be: Clark Campbell, Ronnie Roller, Bronson Mahrt, Ryan Roy, Michael Roller, and Scott Lackey.
