Carl Ray Tally

Carl Ray Tally, was born June 8, 1939, and died, Thursday, February 18, 2021. He is survived by his Wife Sarah B Tally, two children Preston R. Tally and Carla A. Tapp and a foster daughter Darcy Davis, one sister Marlene Jones, and one brother Norman Tally, 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Carl never knew a stranger, loved people and loved God. Carl served in the US Navy aboard the USS Toledo. After leaving the military, he became a Barber by trade and a licensed minister, spreading the gospel from behind his barber’s chair for many years until retirement when he resumed ministry fulltime. He was an active member of Fresh Fire Outreach Center Church where he served as Head Deacon and Elder. A Memorial Service will be held at Taproot church, 22 E. Dunloup in Shawnee, OK at 2:00 pm on Saturday, Feb. 27th. Officiating will be Pastor Joe Wilkes. Any Flowers, plants or cards may be sent to Walker Funeral Service in Shawnee.
