Carl Wesley Johnson

Carl Wesley Johnson, a devoted husband and father, passed away on December 8, 2025, in Oklahoma City. He was born on June 14, 1948, in Shawnee, OK, to parents Clifton and Jettie. Carl's life was marked by dedication and service to both his family and country.

He was united in marriage to Sheree Tyon McCarley on December 1, 1989, in Shawnee, OK, and their marriage was blessed with four wonderful children.

A proud veteran, Carl served three tours in Vietnam and was stationed in Germany for nine years during his military service. His commitment to his country extended beyond his time in the military, as he participated in numerous volunteer activities with the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). Carl had a love for antique cars, military history, and Bigfoot.

Carl is survived by his beloved wife, Ty Johnson; his son, Jack Earlywine, and partner, Coleen Miller of Shawnee, OK; his daughter, Miranda McCoy, and son-in-law, Jason of Midwest City, OK; his daughter, Megan Myers, and son-in-law, Christian of Savannah, GA; and his daughter, Mariah Davis, and son-in-law, Christopher of Nashville, TN. He is also survived by his brother, Jimmy Johnson, and his sister, Donna Fortune. He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Keaten Earlywine, Hannah Earlywine, Audrey Davis, and Baker Davis, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Johnson and Jettie Robinson; his siblings, Thelma Benton, Sue Dombroski, Howard (Bud) Nichols, and Don Nichols.

Carl Wesley Johnson will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. Carl’s celebration of life will take place in Spring 2026.
