Billie Jean Hood, a cherished mother, grandmother, and beloved community figure, passed away on June 5, 2025, at the age of 68. Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on December 19, 1956, to Carl Jean Hacker Sr. and Delores Marie Baysinger. Billie was known for her loving spirit, warm heart, and a laugh that could light up any room.

Throughout her life, Billie was dedicated to her family and deeply passionate about her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where she exemplified compassion and care for those in need. She fostered enduring memories, often seen joyously playing with her grand and great-grandbabies, her smile a testament to her vibrant personality. Family meant everything to Billie; she nurtured a close-knit family environment filled with love, laughter, and togetherness. Billie's loving and ornery nature made her the quintessential neighborhood granny, a role she embraced with pride.

Her interests were as colorful as her personality; she enjoyed karaoke, crocheting, and playing bingo. In her youth, Billie found joy in the simple pleasures of life like spending days at the beach and enjoying family outings to drive-in movies. A true animal lover, Billie treated her pets as cherished members of the family.

Billie's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She loved the Lord and was committed to spreading His word at every opportunity. Her life was marked by a commitment to her beliefs and a desire to share hope and kindness with those around her.

Billie is survived by her devoted husband, Roy Hood; her daughter Shana Hawks and husband, Becoy; her son David Hood; daughter Jennifer Lowery and husband, Johnny; grandchildren Belcy Lowery and husband Bryan, Joseph Hood and wife Lesley, Joshua Hood and wife Hattie, Roy Hood, Brandon Herndon, Brandy Herndon and wife Celina, David Herndon and wife Miranda, Phillip Herndon and wife Kylie, Jimmy and wife Autumn, Heather Magar and husband Jake, Daniel Hawks, Vanessa Mitchell; great-grandchildren Breea Hood, LaKrisha Hagerman, Laythan Lowery; Jeremiah, Jake, and Hayleigh Hood; Joshua and Mason Hood; Julieanna Herndon, Waylon Herndon, Easton Herndon; Aubrey, Leia, and Cade Lowery; Maddox, Remi, and Kinsley Magar; sisters Teresa Lamson, Debra Woodmansee, and Susie Merrell; and many more who carry forward her legacy of love.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Hacker Sr. and Delores Baysinger; her brother Howard Hacker; her son, Baby Boy Hood; and her father-in-law, Roy Hood Sr.

Billie Jean Hood leaves behind a rich legacy characterized by love, laughter, and steadfast devotion to her family and faith. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
