Billie Jean Grass

Shawnee resident Billie Jean Grass, 63, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at a local hospital. Wake services will begin at 7:00 PM Friday, October 7, 2022 at Hitchitee United Methodist Church in Seminole. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Hitchitee United Methodist Church with burial following at Hitchitee Cemetery. Billie was born December 7, 1958 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Lee Larney and Geneva (Brown) Larney. She enjoyed sewing, beading, and watching her children and grandchildren play sports. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Samuel Grass, a granddaughter: Dream Grass, brothers: Rocky, Darrell and Allen Larney, sisters: Susanna Colungo, Nevalee Deere, and Patricia Larney. Survivors include 6 children: Jason Grass of Poteau, Solomon Grass of Shawnee, Amanda Grass of OKC, Jacob Grass of Shawnee, Justin Grass of Shawnee, Amelia Grass of Shawnee, 21 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers: Roy Larney and Walter Larney, 2 sister: Harriett Larney and Lonita Stewart, and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
