Betty Henderson

Betty Henderson, 85, of Shawnee died Thursday, October 17 at her home.

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 26 at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, with Father Tom Dahlam officiating. Walker Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Betty was born March 20, 1934 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Clarence and Ruth Holliman.  She was a graduate of Shawnee High School.  She was in the last class to graduate from Mission Hill with her LPN.  She then went to East Central University where she received her BSN.  She was Nurse of the Day at the Oklahoma State Capitol.  She was married to Jack C. Henderson for 45 years, and was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, where she served on the Altar Guild.  Betty was the first den leader coach in Canadian Valley Scout District.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Betty is survived by her three children, Melodie Beauchamp, Jack W. Henderson and Brenda Miles; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
