Andrew Scott Howard, “Scott” passed unexpectedly at his home on April 27, 2025, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was one month short of his 67th birthday.
Pre-deceased by his parents, Chapin and Betty Howard and his brother Mike.
Survivors include his two sisters, Suzie and Terisa, and four nephews, all of Colorado.
He was especially close to his male cousins living throughout our country often referring to them as brothers. His friends were like family and his family were his friends.
He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1976 where he was a valued member of their competitive tennis team. He never lost his “love” for the sport and continued to play throughout life.
Shortly after graduating from Oklahoma State University’s School of business, he was hired to assist and support the owners of Loe’s Highport, in managing their diverse portfolio of restaurants, bars, luxury boats and a busy marina on Lake Texhoma. He was licensed and occasionally commandeered large recreational boats through the intercoastal waterways of America to deliver a boat.
He loved all things “Oklahoma”; the sudden crack of thunder before a storm descends, the rumble and fumble of an Oklahoma football game and of course, Barry Switzer.
His wit and ability to incite uncontrollable laughter was his specialty and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. His departure has left a hole in our hearts.
We will be celebrating Scott’s Life, “Celebration of Life”, on June 21, 2025 at the FireLake Clubhouse- Upper Ballroom, Shawnee, OK from 4:00 – 6:00.
