Allison Hooley Nave, 83, of Maud, Oklahoma, was born on October 26, 1942, in Claremore, Oklahoma, and passed away on January 15, 2026, in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Allison was the kind of man who could lighten a room with a joke and make people feel at ease just by being himself. He will be remembered for his humor, his steady advice, and the simple moments that mattered most-especially sitting on the porch, talking and laughing with the people he loved. He never met a stranger, and his friendly spirit made people feel welcome wherever he went.
A free spirit, Allison loved to travel and see new places. He took vacations whenever he could and enjoyed life to the fullest.
Allison retired from Solo Cup Company in Ada, Oklahoma, in 2002. A talented pool player, he enjoyed the game as much as the time spent with others around the table. He loved NASCAR and could often be found cheering on the Oklahoma City Thunder.
He was a creator, an inventor, and a dreamer, with an imagination that could bring ideas to life. He could build anything, and he took pride in figuring things out and making something from nothing.
Allison was preceded in death by his parents, Hooley Allen Nave and Edith Rhodd Nave, and his sister, Arlene Rosetta (Nave) Bush. He is survived by his sisters, Marie Tredway and Carol Nave; his children, Blain Nave, Kaeli White, Angela Gunn (and husband John), Tracy Claborn, Jeanette Elrod (and husband Erik), and Ginelle Mormon; his grandchildren Heather, Ciera, Dillon, Andrea, Madison, Jordan, Hannah, Kaleb, Paityn, Karston, and Evelyn; and many other great-grandchildren and loved ones.
A special thank you to Centric Home Health/Hospice and Kaeli White for the love and compassion shown during Allison's final days.
A memorial ceremony to Celebrate Allison's life will be held at 2pm Monday, February 2, 2026 in the Chapel at Walker Funeral & Cremation Service.
