Homer Richard “Dick” Morris, 73, died Saturday, August 29, 2015 at his home in Shawnee.
Memorial services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Walker Funeral Service with Chris Stinnett officiating.
Dick was born September 1, 1941 in Lawton, Oklahoma and raised by his grandparents, Homer and Libbie Blackstone. He graduated from St. Benedict Catholic School. On November 27, 1963 he married Betty (Schumacher). He worked at Central Plastics nearly 20 years. He also owned and operated Shawnee Insulation. He later worked as a rural route carrier in Meeker for the U.S. Post Office and also served 20 years as a Reserve Deputy. He enjoyed sports but mostly coaching baseball from 1st grade through Legion ball. He was a member of Seminole Church of Christ, and enjoyed mowing his lawn.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and one son: Steven Eugene Morris.

Taylor Morris, Jake Morris and Ava Morris of OKC,
1 Brother: Gene Morris and wife Reatha of Tecumseh,
An Aunt: Geraldine Batt and husband Jim of Shawnee,
And several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
