Antonia (Brown) English, 86, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at home with her son Rickey Brown on Sunday, July 5, 2015. She was born May 24, 1929 to Marcello and Josephine Corona in Moorhead Minnesota. She was a long time resident of Shawnee, Oklahoma and attended Shawnee Public Schools. She was well known for her strong work ethic. She dedicated over thirty five years managing, preparing and serving the public at El Burrito in Shawnee, Ok where the hot sauce recipe is legend and still kept in the family. Driven by a strong sense of responsibility to raise her three sons, "Toni" could be found holding up to three jobs numerous times throughout her life. She retired from the Shawnee Public School system working as a cook for the child Nutrition Services. She was generous in hospitality. Her love and joy for cooking would have family and friends in long lines to visit at her table. She was a devout, dedicated Sooner fan. She held season tickets for many years where she introduced her grandchildren to the rich winning tradition of Oklahoma Sooner football. She had many friends in her hometown of Shawnee who were very proud of her and the family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Earl English II, her son Joseph Edward Brown, her parents and other siblings. She is survived by her sons Rickey Brown and Christopher Brown and Daughter in law Deborah Brown and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2015 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow in Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.
